Spark plasma sintering (SPS) technology can significantly inhibit grain coarsening due to its characteristics of rapid sintering and densification, and obtain a material with high density and uniform microstructure. We completed the SPS sintering of tantalum powder, and characterized the microstructure and mechanical properties of the samples at different sintering temperatures. The results show that during the pure tantalum sintering process, the rapid densification temperature range is 800 degrees C-1300 degrees C, and the maximum shrinkage rate of the sample is 1100 degrees C.
